Homemade Lasagna | Veg Lasagna Recipe

An excellent choice for a cooked lunch, especially if you have children. This lasagna is a simple meal, perfect for a weekday dinner.


1 litre water for cooking lasagna sheets as per taste Salt 1 pack or 20 lasagna sheets White sauce 2 Tablespoon Butter 2 Tablespoon flour 3 cups milk 1 teaspoon black pepper powder 1 teaspoon oregano spice Red sauce as required Stir fried veggies (mushrooms, corn, broccoli, etc) 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese

Method of Preparation:

Boil water. Add salt. Add the lasagna sheets and cook for 8-10 minutes. Add butter to a skillet to make the white sauce. Once the butter has melted, add the flour and continue stirring. Add warm milk and keep stirring continuously. Add salt, black pepper and oregano spices. Keep aside to cool down.

Red sauce, refer this link for my pasta sauce recipe Once everything is ready, it's time to assemble the lasagna.   In an oven safe dish, pour 2-3 tablespoon of red pasta sauce and spread evenly. Place the pasta sheets and now pour 2-3 tablespoon of white sauce. 

Spread some cheese and saute veggies all over. Now repeat with the first step again. Finish off with cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven @165 ⁰ C for 8-10 minutes. As our lasagna sheets are already cooked, the baking time is reduced and lasagna is baked in very less time.

Cut in to the lasagna and serve hot. This recipe can be made ahead of time for a party or get together as well.
