Chocolate Orange Cake | Easy Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients

Cake
• 200g of raw coconut flakes
• 2 tbsp of raw cacao nibs
• 1 tbsp of goji berries
• 2 tbsp of raw cacao powder
• 1 tbsp of raw carob powder
• 1⁄4 tsp of cinnamon powder
• 1⁄4 tsp of vanilla bourbon powder
• The zest of 1 organic sweet navel orange
• 25 soft pitted dates
• Juice of 1⁄2 the zested orange

Chocolate Cream

• 10 soft pitted dates
• The zest of 1 organic sweet navel orange
• Juice of the zested orange plus the juice of the other 1⁄2 orange
• 1 tbsp of raw cacao powder
• 1/2 tbsp of raw carob powder
• 1⁄4 tsp of cinnamon powder
• 1/8 tsp of vanilla bourbon powder

Preparation

Cake

Place the coconut flakes and cacao nibs in the food processor and grind until fine, add the rest of the ingredients and continue grinding until you get a dough consistency.

Place a baking paper at the bottom of a round cake mould, place the dough in and press it down until the surface is even.



If you would like the dough to be more wet and juicy, squeeze a little extra orange juice over before adding the cream.

Cream
Place all ingredients in the blender and blend till real smooth.

Assembly
Remove the cake from the mould, place on a plate.
With the help of a spatula, pour the cream over the cake and even it out and voila!
